Youth4Planet Luxembourg - Green Starters

Youth4Planet Luxembourg is an organization dedicated to education for sustainable development and media literacy. Through “Green Starters,” it offers a nine-month program for 25 young adults (ages 18–25) who are in the process of career orientation or (re)integration. The program takes place at ENAD, the national school for adults. 

The goal is to support participants in developing and prototyping their own ecological microprojects—in a participatory, collaborative, and hands-on manner. The program combines personal development, social participation, and environmental awareness with opportunities for internships, employment, or continuing their projects. 

The process comprises several phases: activation, co-creation in workshops, prototyping, and public presentation. Work takes place in rotating groups with peer feedback and collaborative decision-making, supplemented by mentoring, storytelling, and the mobile “CreatiVelo Tour.”

Snakke & Co. was responsible for the conception, structuring, and creative and methodological development of a project presentation that highlights the participatory nature of Green Starters. 
This included, among other things:

• Developing a support process in which young people are not merely “addressed” but act as co-designers of their own learning and project journey (e.g., jointly defining workshop priorities, feedback loops, peer reviews).

• Integrating collaborative ideation methods (World Café, canvas exercises, future workshops) into the project description to clearly communicate the co-creation approach to partners.

• Emphasizing participatory formats such as creative workshops, collaborative prototyping sessions, and the final forum as spaces where young people actively negotiate, present, and further develop their results.
