About the project:
The goal is to provide expert guidance and facilitate the merger process involving four municipalities in close collaboration with stakeholders from politics, government, and civil society. This guidance is intended to ensure an objective, transparent, and accountable merger process—through to the final decision in a referendum.
Services provided: Results and Added Value:
As part of this assignment, our support covers all phases of coordination, facilitation, and communication throughout the merger process:
- • Preparation, facilitation, follow-up, and documentation of all working group and steering committee meetings
Preparation, support, and consultation for decision-making processes at the level of the mayoral and college of aldermen
• Design of a communication campaign to inform the public leading up to the referendum
• Support with the organizational preparation for the referendum
• Creation of informational and communication materials (presentations, FAQ documents, website content)
• Design, implementation, and documentation of employee engagement initiatives, including workshops, online surveys, and informational events
• Support and consultation for working groups and development of working assignments

Results and Added Value:
- • Uniting the interests of politicians, administrative staff, and citizens in a collaborative process.
• Establishing consistently transparent communication that enables staff—who would be most affected by a potential merger—as well as citizens, to actively express their concerns, fears, and wishes, rather than simply being informed.
• Systematically incorporating this feedback into the ongoing process so that decisions at the political level could be made on a broad and transparent basis.
